DRX9000 Spinal Decompression Therapy(offered by Orange County Spinal Decompression - OCSpinalDecompression.com) is highly effective at both alleviating the symptoms of Sciatica AND eliminating the cause of the pain and discomfort! Spinal Decompression gently separates the bones of the spine. This increases the space between the bones of the spine which “un-pinches” the nerves causing the pain. If the Sciatica is caused by a Herniated or Bulging Disc then Spinal Decompression will reduce the bulge which also eliminates pressure on the nerve. Spinal Decompression is safe and highly effective.
Our Complete Spinal Rehabilitation Program is Covered by Most Major Insurance Plans.

Lower back pain exercises to relieve back pain by stretching the tight muscles around the hips that attach to the lower back. Follow each lower back pain exercise to deturmine if the muscles in your hips are so tight as to cause discomfort in the back, legs, hips. If these muscles are very tight then I reccoment that you purchase this DVD so that you can stretch the inside of the hips, the outside of the hips and stregthen the weak areas at the same time. This DVD is available at BackandHipRelief.com. I will try to get to questions as I can but I am not on this site very often due to my work load. Best of luck - I hope this helps - Aloha - David Wicker

I have recently had lower back pain and pain down my right leg. I went to my family doctor and she had me get an x ray and an MRI and found I had a Herniated Disc and gave me the number of a orthopedist to see about it. i made an appointment with the orthopedist but the earliest appointment isn’t until August 11th! I’m really worried about not getting better before school starts again, is there anything I can do in the mean time to help myself get better? Or am I stuck waiting til the 11th?
Find a doctor that can see you quicker. No sense in suffering for so long.

I have been having sciatica pains for about a month but just got diagnosed about a week ago and have been taking prednisone to help, but i still get pain. I have been trying to stay away from activity because i thought it would make it hurt more, but i feel like im getting out of shape and i was wondering if working out would really make it worse. I am a dancer, so would stretching hurt it more or no? what kinds of things are okay to do with Sciatica? and is sciatica totally curable or will i have this pain forever?
The vast majority of people who experience sciatica get better with time (usually a few weeks or months) and find pain relief with non-surgical sciatica treatment. For others, however, sciatica can be severe and debilitating….
Try looking at this site, hope it can help you

My mother has an umbilical hernia, and is in a lot of pain, but because of the hernia, she can’t afford to become constipated, which is a common side-effect of painkillers. Is there something that will help her with the pain without the possibility of constipating her, or causing other serious side-effects?
Thank you for your answer. Sorry to hear about your unfortunate family history.
Try Black currant seed oil. It is a national pain killer /Antiinflammatory.

I have had bad pain in the areas of T4, T6, T10 in the middle of my back for 3 to 4 days now. First I thought it was because I’m big chested and that is why but then I got sick was coughing alot, then I changed cars and the seats are different so I lean back more thinking that is what is making it hurt, I also have 3 boys and was playing with on the floor and thought maybe I hurt it then. I am on a low budget and going to a back dr. is not something I can afford.
I have to give a personal touch to my answer below. In the information you gave, I can see that you have a few stresses that could be aiding your back pain. The big one would be, being on a budget ( no one likes to be on a budget) lol….The other probably more self imposed stress would be having three boys. You sound like a good mom, and my being one to, I know the pressure we place on ourselves to be the best mom we can be. I hope my answer helps.
What you are probably suffering from is TMS (tension myositis syndrome). Myo means muscle. Your back muscle is all tensed up. Because of the tension there is not enough blood flow that brings the oxygen it needs to that area, and that is, whats causing the pain. I bet when you take a hot shower, it feels a little better,But not for long, thats because heat gets the blood flow moving. I understand your pain, as I have suffered the same symptoms, through out my life. I even thought for a long time that I had a pinched nerve, Until recently learning that there is no such thing. Believe that there is nothing structually wrong with you. Stresses, big and small are the culprits here. Today write down all the things that are bothering you, go back as far as you can, become aware of any guilt and resentments you have, and believe me we all have them.Let them go, there holding you back. Believe you have the power to deal with any situations you may be faced with, today and everyday thereafter.

Can an avid weight lifter resume a life of squating or lifting weights after having a Herniated Disc- even if time goes by and healing is evident? The obvoius answer is NO WAY but is there anyone who was able to still pursue his/her passion for the sport after that type of injury (any examples of famous athletes who continued in their demanding careers? e.g. Football players, etc.) OR is that considered a career ending injury for a young (30) person in otherwise phenominal shape?
Not that I am aware of, but am going to give you the linnk to a site that may help you find more information and experiences. The link is at: http://www.WebMD.com (they have a Pain and Pain Management messageboard there as well)
