Hi there - no, a bulging disc does not heal on its own, but we never recommend surgery until we’ve tried everything else first because the success rate for surgery with this condition is not that great.

In order for a spinal disc condition to heal, it requires a number of different things like exercises, stretches, nutritional changes, etc.

The biggest problem is that the discs don’t receive a good blood supply, so they are very difficult to heal, but it can be done.

I sincerly hope that you will not take surgery unless your case is too serious. Any surgery can cause side effects and it cause a big shock to the body. What is more, risks cannot be avoided. There should be some other solutions. I have had a herinated disc in L5S1for nearly 18 years. No surgery but natural therapies. They work.

You can definitely still go through these steps - it definitely won’t hurt anything, and you may even experience some relief before the surgery. This is actually an old video, though - you may want to sign up for my free 13-day ecourse on my website, which has a lot more information & videos - just visit my site and go to the bottom of the page where it says “Bulging Disc Resources” and you can sign up there.
